Jungle Book has just completed it’s third week in theatres. And I am one of the many that went to see it this past weekend to help keep it at the top of the box office. I have never seen the prior Disney cartoon so I had no familiarity with the story. I found the movie to be excellent and well worth going during your free time.
The movie, directed by Jon Favreau (the same director that gave us the amazing movie Iron Man), follows the story of a young boy (Neel Sethi) raised by wolves.
The scenery in the film is astonishing and so is the CGI. Shere Khan, the tiger (voiced by Idris Elba), is one of the baddest villains in a Disney Movie since Scar in The Lion King. And in pure casting genius, Bill Murray is the voice of Ballou, the bear, and Christopher Walken is the voice of King Louie, a wacky Orangutan.
The Jungle Book doesn’t have any slow points. The pace is helped by the amazing animals and the great scenery that you may not see ever than in a film. With Captain America coming out next week, if you have any time prior, I would suggest you head out and see The Jungle Book 2016. Or if you get shut out of seeing Captain America next week, have no fear in spending your time seeing the Jungle Book 2016.
