Stranger Things is a Science Fiction series released by Netflix that follows the investigation after a child goes missing. The investigation is three fold as there are separate pieces of information gained by the boy’s mother (played by Winona Rider), the local sheriff, and three of the boy’s friends. And let’s just say that most of their findings are strange.
The television series has an amazing 80’s resonance. If you are a child of the 80’s you will probably enjoy this series a little extra with seeing hairstyle’s, music, and even décor that bring you back to the period. Also, the pacing and action, seams like you are watching a monster flick from the 80’s.
The first couple of hours start off a little slow. But once, you get past them, the series picks up. Part of the reason is the emergence of Eleven, a child that escapes from a local institution, brings intrigue of where is she from and what can she do. The other half of the reason, is the continuous driplets of information we receive about a monster that lives in what the series calls “The Upside Down”.
During the summer when there is less programming on television, Stranger Things was the perfect solution to get your tv series fix. You should definitely check out Stranger Things on Netflix.
